Disputing inaccurate information on the credit has been certified by following the process online. All you have to do is follow the respective links on the website of the credit bureaus or through your account section if you have recently accessed your credit report. However, it is also advised to send the dispute and through certified mail in order to have proof that you disputed the information as well as the fact that the credit bureau received your dispute. Sending a dispute through certified mail is particularly helpful in case you need to submit documents such as cancer checks, account statements in support of the dispute. You can enclose copies of the respective documents along with the copy of your personal credit report if possible with the account in question duly highlighted. It is also possible to submit documents when filing a dispute online by attaching scanned copies. This is a sample credit report dispute letter that you can send to credit bureaus. Use this letter to request an update to or a deletion of inaccurate information on your credit report. Replace the italicized statements with your information.
